Greetings!

I’m Mrs. Hall, your Media Specialist. I’m new to AR Johnson, but not to the role! This is my fifth year as a Media Specialist, and before that, I taught English Language Arts at the secondary level and gifted resource K-5.  I also supported teachers as an ELA Facilitator and Instructional Coach.  I’m excited to be part of the AR Johnson family!

My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment where every student feels welcomed, supported, and excited to learn, read, explore, and grow. I look forward to helping students become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and responsible users of information.

📖 A Few Helpful Reminders

🎟️ Visiting the Media Center

  • Students visiting during class must have a signed library pass from their teacher.
  • Students visiting during lunch must pick up a Media Center pass before 8:25 AM.

📱 Cell Phones & Electronic Devices
We follow the school’s Cell Phone & Electronic Device Policy. Phones, smartwatches, headphones, earbuds, and other communication devices are not permitted in the Media Center.

📚 Check Your Destiny Account
Please remember to check your Destiny library account regularly. This helps you keep track of books you have checked out, due dates, and any items that need your attention.

🛡️ Consider Computer Insurance
Accidents happen! Students are encouraged to consider purchasing insurance to help cover the cost of damaged or lost devices.  Click here for more information.

💳 Pay School Fines Through MySchoolBucks
All school fines should be paid through MySchoolBucks. If you need help setting up your account, I’m happy to help!   Visit MySchoolBucks.com to create your account. You will need your student’s ID number to get started.

📱 Keep Track of Your Reading
Don’t forget to log your reading in Beanstack! Recording your reading is a great way to track your progress and celebrate your reading accomplishments.
